- Jul 03, 2015 I'll try to update this post with a list of reported issues and reported fixes. This post isn't for opinions on the update, the goal is to diagnose the issue that is plaguing many players. The problems with the update seem to arise from various graphic issues related to the implementation of the Gun Mettle weapon skins, specifically DX8, DX9, Nvidia graphics cards, OSX, & Linux.

A game doesnt need constant updates outside of various bug fixes. Hell back in the day games never got updated outside of the month they released. I recently returned to TF2 and frankly I do not understand the modern TF2 community they want matchmaking, competitive playlists, and a constant stream of updates. Team Fortress 2 may suffer from crashing if any of its files are Corrupt or missing. And in that case, reinstalling TF2 may very likely solve the problem. Library in Steam; Right-click Team Fortress 2 and select Uninstall. Uninstall Team Fortress 2; Wait till the Team Fortress 2 is uninstalled.

Download and extract the TF2 Non-Steam Test Files to where all the 19 parts are located. Run TestFiles.exe to start the verification progress.
